U.S. Student Visa Guide

To study in the U.S., most students will seek an F-1 student visa, meant for those planning to attend a college or university in the U.S. (or to study English at a language institute).

Once accepted by an approved U.S. school, you’ll be enrolled in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and need to pay the I-901 fee. Your school will provide a Form I-20 to complete. After these steps, you can apply at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate for your F or M student visa interview.
